GEOSCIENCE SOCIETY OF NEW ZEALAND
The Society encourages the advancement of the geosciences in New Zealand and has more than 700 members, an elected national committee, eight branches and a number of subcommittees and special interest groups. Membership is open to all who are interested in the geosciences.
The latest Newsletter is out and includes articles on the future visions of GNS Science, Oil and Gas and Geoparks. There are reviews, notices and reports from award winners, a retirement notice and sadly, obituaries. As always, the editor welcomes and challenges you to contribute to your Newsletter for 2020.
The Society holds a conference in a different part of New Zealand each year (Waikato University 2019, preliminary details here), presents annual awards, and publishes a newsletter every four months. For a better poster go here .
