• The Auckland Regional Council (ARC) has information about the Auckland volcanic field and the processes involved in its formation.
• The United States Geological Survey (USGS) has a comprehensive site about volcanoes and related features such as lava flows, mud flows, landslides, and volcanic rock types. Their photo-glossary contains beautiful photographs of these features and more!
• Volcano World is a useful and interesting site provided by the University of North Dakota. It contains a variety of images, videos, and information about volcanoes around the world. Check out their site index for specific information, and their teacher’s guide to Hawaiian volcanoes.
• Planetscapes offers a fantastic range of images and information about the solar system, and includes a sizeable section on terrestrial features, including volcanoes.
