NZ Sedimentology "Special Interest" Group

NZ Sed is an informal collection of sedimentologists, which aims to:
• Promote and support young research workers (Hons, MScs, PhDs and post-docs) in sedimentology.
• Organize and support high quality research workshops/fieldtrips.
• Provide a resource base for sedimentologists worldwide (though an active web-site [currently in preparation] and listserv).
• Provide a focus for sedimentological research both within NZ and internationally

It is hoped that the NZ Sed Group will be the principal focus point in NZ for all aspects of sedimentological research. The ultimate goal is to link to the Australian equivalent and form a single ANZ Sed. group, with biannual meetings or workshops attached to the Geoscience Soc AGMs.
