The purpose of the Palaeontology Special Interest Group within GSNZ is to act when necessary as a ginger group, advocating for and promoting palaeontology and matters of common concern/interest to palaeontologists.
All GSNZ members with an interest in fossils of any sort, from molecules to vertebrates, are welcome.
An informal ad hoc discussion meeting is organised once a year during the annual GSNZ conference.
Apart from a Convenor, PSIG is structureless and all members are encouraged to contribute.
If you have an interest in fossils you might also like to look at the Fossil Record File.
