GSNZ SIG webinar - PALEOTalk
Special Interest Group event
Māngere Kaawa Formation fossils
PALEOTalk is a series of informal monthly online presentations dedicated to showcasing paleontology activities in Aotearoa.
The PALEOTalk session this month will be presented by Thomas Stolberger and Nathan Collins from Auckland War Memorial Museum Tāmaki Paenga Hira. Thomas and Nathan will speak about one of the most diverse Pliocene marine faunas ever found in New Zealand which was unearthed during the construction of Auckland's Central Interceptor wastewater project. More information on their work, including media stories covering the fossil taonga can be found on the Auckland Museum website
The Zoom link for the talk will be sent to members of the Paleontology Special Interest Group during the week of Thursday 26 May.
GSNZ members who are not members of the Paleontology Special Interest Group are welcome to contact the Paleontology Special Interest Group convener (email@example.com) if they would like to be provided with the Zoom link.
